Well, this site has been on line for a month now, and I'd like to thank everyone who has showed an interest and mailed me with their comments about my music!

I've been spending a lot of time recently restructuring the makeshift studio I am currently recording in, with the rest of my time being spent working out how best to keep this site updated. The recording sessions have been progressing really well, and some electric sounds are now beginning to find their way in amongst the acoustic sound sections I had originally created.

The overall sound I am trying to create is based upon a theme I've entitled "Refelections on a past filled with tears". As yet, there are no other musicians (other than myself, of course!) working on this particular 'Enlightenment' project. I'm still unsure if this will remain an 'in-house' project, or if it will expand into other musicians lives, but I will keep you updated with any developments in this area.

Music wise, I've been recently listening to 'The Angels of Light', and saw them play at the Borderline in London last month. This was a truly amazing performance by Michael Gira (of the late, great SWANS) and his new band, which was so intense, dark and beautiful, I find it very difficult to describe in words. I would say it is without doubt one of the finest musical performaces I have ever witnessed and if you get the chance, check them out for yourself, you will not be dissapointed!

Anyway, I'm going to bed now as it has been a long day, and I'm shattered. Thanks again for your interest in the 'Enlightenment' projects, if you have any comments, please send me a mail and come back to visit again soon!

'Enlightenment' are currently demoing new material of a primarily acoustic nature, which looks set to continue over the next few months. Updates will be posted to this site letting you know how this work is progressing and also providing details of any shows that may be lined up.
